Nonty Charity Sabic

Nonty Charity Sabic is a South African workshop leader and dynamic speaker, currently living between Europe and South Africa. Her goal is to deliver a message of empowerment, service, indigenous wisdom, sustainable living and the importance of building community and ecovillages in modern Society.

She has a background in business and events management and has also trained as a hospice counselor and body therapist. Nonty is initiated in the shamanic ancestral traditions of her tribe and has studied Buddhism, having practiced as a novice Buddhist nun. She also studies different collaborative mythologies in facilitation as well as project and group management.

As a member of the commons of Europe, Nonty is currently involved in various organisations that promote, sustainable and regenerative ways of living. She advocates for climate and social justice, community living, diversity and North/South healing and reconciliation, utilising the principles of UBUNTU. Since 2013, she has been involved with the Global Ecovillage Network (GEN), where she served as a board member and is part of the advocacy and policy working group. She is also a co-founder and director of RISE (Revivers of Indigenous Spirituality and Ecosystems).
